Julia Fractals

It is Julia Fractal day at Google

The Julia set is named after the French mathematician Gaston Maurice Julia who investigated their properties circa 1915 and culminated in his famous paper in 1918 "Memoir sur l'iteration des fonctions rationnelles" (Essay on the Iteration of Rational Functions)

Gaston Maurice Julia was born 3 Feb 1893 in Sidi Bel Abbes, Algeria. He died 19 March 1978 in Paris, France.

Oooh look at the pretty pictures!

Happy Fractal Day! ;)

Oooo....you would love my husband's artwork then...he does a lot of work with fractals and abstract patterns on the computer. I shall have to see if I can find any of his that I have uploaded...

Here are two from my hubbie!

Re: Here are two from my hubbie!

WoW!

Those are amazing!

Re: Here are two from my hubbie!

He's got tons...last time he checked, he had more than 20,000 images he's done over the past few years.

Whew...must be nice...lol. Takes me hours just to get one pic done, and he would come home from work with 100 on a disc...

Now if only I can get his name out there. ;)

Well...what is his name?
Does he have a web site?

Re: Here are two from my hubbie!

His name is Nic Vitori, but other than getting some of his work up on MacDesktops, he doesn't have anything online yet.

He's a tried and true Aries...comes up with all these great ideas of things to do about his art, and then waits for someone else to do them. ;P
