Samhain Update
So far the holiday has gone well.
I had not intended to give out the Rice Krispie skulls to strangers because I didn't want all my work to be thrown away. But, because of space issues, the skulls were put in the cauldron with the "fun sized" candy. Wolf was in charge of distribution and when the kids saw the skulls they wanted them. He warned the children to show the treats to their parents, and the parents who were there didn't seem to object. I hope the treats got eaten. We ran out of treat before we ran out of kids.
Today B and I put up the giant dream catcher web on the porch. It was supposed to go up before last night but we just didn't have time. I hope we get all three spaces full of web. I think it is a great idea for a plant trellis in spring. Wolf thinks it will be a good place to hang all sorts of seasonal decorations.
Ritual last night went well, for me. We did divination with Runes
and The Faeries' Oracle
I drew Hagalaz which sounded a lot like Death to me. Then I drew Death from the Faeries' Oracle deck. As far as I'm concerned Death is just business as usual, more of the same.
An interesting thing was that K drew fire symbols and she was sitting in the south, B drew water symbols and he was siting in the wast and Wolf drew north symbols and he was sitting in the North. I was in the south-east.
