Sunday, cleaning, shoping, cooking, caroling

I did some more cleaning around the house this morning.
Then Sarah came by and reminded me I had asked her to help me return bottles.
She, Chris and I went to Wegmans and returned the bottles and did some shopping.
Then I picked up zimarra and brought her home with me.

I made cheesy grits (but I don't think the corn meal I bought is the right kind, they came out sort of bland.) my mother's Creamed celery and my Personal Best Mac & Cheese. I know J doesn't like celery. But he and Zimarra appreciated the mac & cheese

Then Zimarra sang Yule Carols with me. My family sang carols every year when I was growing up. My mom would have to drag me kicking and screaming to do it too. I don't like to sing the Christian carols because they make me feel like an outsider. But I miss the singing and I'm glad to have Zimarra's beautiful voice to sing along with me. I'm not much of a singer on my own but my father and my sisters are, so I love the sound of a good voice. I'm going to miss her. I haven't been able to get anyone else to sing carols with me.

Now I'm very late for bed.

Do you go caroling door to door or at elder/nursing homes or just at home for fun? I like to sing and am mostly over the bronchitis, but am still feeling rather run down. Even still I think I could join you occasionally for caroling if you wanted company and it would be good for me to get out a bit too. :) If you're interested, indoors would probably be best for me this year.

As much as I would love to go caroling door to door (I did do it one year) I don't think the Pagan carols would go over all that well.

So, I do sing inside, And I would love to have you join me.

Any time you feel up to it. Give me a call.
Tuesdays (except the first tuesday of the month) are Ritual nights at B&K's; and Thursday's (except the second thursday of the month) I'm at Toastmasters from 7-9.

Hmm, This week is *both* the first Tuesday and the second Thursday of this month!

The 21st is the solstice. So I will definitely want to sing that night.
