Ooof! I am stuffed!

I got a recipe for Maple Dijon Crockpot Chicken from the cooking community and tried it out yesterday. it was OK. Not fantastic, just OK. The onions and yams didn't cook enough although some of the yams were falling apart and the chicken was cooked through, and there was a lot of liquid. This evening I baked the left overs in the oven until the yams fell apart then I mashed them into the juice that was better, but still not great. Maple syrup, mustard, and thyme might make a good glaze for baked chicken I might try it.

Tonight I tried out my mom's recipe for Chocolate Pudding Cake. The batter was a bit dry and there were some dry spots on the bottom of the finished product. I think she wrote 1/4 c milk when she should have written 1/2 c milk. All the online recipes I found called for 1/2 c milk. Funny how I couldn't find any recipes for it until I got mom's.

Chocolate Pudding Cake ends up as bits of cake floating in hot fudge sauce. Sort of like Chili's Molten Chocolate Cake but more messy. You scoop it out with a spoon and serve it in bowls with vanilla ice cream.
