Meal Planning

Ok Tomorrow I really have to pick up the cat food, and the lamp I need for the living room. I meant to do that today but I forgot. I did pick up my medications and a few things I had on my shopping list. So, now I can do meal planning.

Sweet and Sour Pork
Pork Satey
Pork Spiedies
Leek and Potato Soup
Scalloped Potatoes w ham
Cauliflower Gratin
Green Beans
Red Cabbage
Quesadillas
Beer Bread
Beer Cookies
Meringues
Yolk cookies
Hazelnut cookies
Hollandaise Sauce


That should keep me busy for a while.

I saw a neat set of portion control serving tools at Wegmans. I'm considering buying them. Although my problem is that I rarely have my protein, carbs, and veggies as separate dishes. I tend to have just one casserole or stew. So I wouldn't get much use out them...

Both the nutrionists I've worked with have recommended the "fist-sized" means of portion control, based on the idea that the normal capacity of your stomach is approximately the size of your loose fist. Using that guide, and eating 4-6 times a day, has always helped me-and illustrates just how ridiculously oversized restaurant portions are! I really respect how organized you are!!!
