Sumptuary Rules

A couple of my friends have expressed the opinion that only Scottish men should wear kilts. I think this is utter nonsense! If only Scotsmen can wear kilts then only Southeast Asians can wear sarongs or pajamas, only California gold prospectors can wear denim jeans, and only British people can wear business suits. It's just clothing. People can wear whatever they want. I support the right of all men to wear kilts regardless of their ancestry!

Thank you! Does that mean I can wear a kilt in your presence? Am I encouraged to wear a kilt in your presence? ;-)
Yes, all men are encouraged to wear a kilt in my presence.
Yay!!
I'll let SLB know. Which reminds me! He and IDK are going to need togas at some point in the near future. I remember your chiton party, did you look up togas too? I was under the impression they could be wrapped and draped and pinned like kilts.
Well, both togas and kilts were essentially huge wool blankets.
But togas are were (and are) a right pain to wear. They totally incapacitate your left arm.

Here are some sites

Togas also require an under-tunic.

Most people don't know the difference between a toga and the much more comfortable Chiton.

What is the occasion? will people know the difference?
It's for a MtG card release, so people won't really notice or care all that much.
In that case they should probably just grab some sheets and wear chitons like everyone else.
