...kitties ROCK

Take a look

In other news. I mentioned how some people are stamping out religion on national currency. So J forwarded a site to me about an effort to counter stamp. Personally I have no problem with people stamping their own religious slogans slogans on money or envelopes. I just have a problem with the government doing it.

In a simmilar issue has anyone else heard about the Jesus Brick. I think they have a good case. I can't think of any way to allow people to buy inscribed bricks but censor what they say on them, as long as what they say is not obscene. Even if they said you could only put names, people could still say "In Memory of Jesus Christ" or "In memory of Siddhartha Gautama" for that matter. Which is why what happened to them was unfair discrimination. Anyone could say anything except them. And "God Loves All Children" is inscribed on another brick at that park.

Re: counter-stamping

In the counter-stamping article, they say:
On the other hand, should hundreds, then thousands of Atheists and separationists start crossing out "In God We Trust," there just might be a prosecution under the above mentioned statute.
which is pretty ridiculous. Considering that there is no intent to defraud and no advertisement, there would be no case.

Re: counter-stamping

I agree, it is unlikely.

I'm just looking forward to getting back a bill I have already marked. Ithaca is a small town, it could happen.
