Last Grocery Day of the Month

I picked up a 10# bag of chicken leg quarters and a 4# bag of pinto beans. Didn't dry beans used to be cheap? The chicken costs $.79/lb but the beans cost $1.50/lb. I also picked up a bag of potatoes 5# for $1.99, not the best thing for my health but cheap and versatile. Next month I'm going to have to buy a whole ham as well as a couple of cheap turkeys. My back stock of frozen meat is down to a couple of packages of homemade Char Siu and one package of diced ham.

I need to do some cooking. Marilyn gave me some milk I want to make into cheese. Anne gave me some apples I want to make into apple butter. (I haven't had homemade apple butter in a long time.) I should probably cook up a pound of those beans for frijoles refritos. And I need to do something with the chicken. Maybe a pot of soup, some baked chicken, and some spicy chicken for tacos and enchiladas. I have corn and wheat tortillas but I'm out of bread. I should probably make some bread.

To Make List:
Cheese
Apple Butter
Frijoles Refritos
Something with the chicken (boil some, bake some, pull some, make soup) Chicken crisps!
Bread
Proper English muffins
Aussie Crash Potatoes With bacon!
Char Siu Bao
