The Surgery Was A Success

I'm home. Typing with my left hand because my right hand is wrapped in a bag of ice. I feel very lucid, not loopy at all.

They gave me a new pair of purple socks and stuck lots of needles in my arms. The most painful part of the surgery was the blood pressure cuff on my calf. The most stressful part was the three attempts to get in an I.V. line. I didn't feel the surgery at all.

I'm very grateful to live in a time and a place where I can receive such competent and professional care. Not everyone is so lucky, but they should be.

Dr Stephanie Roach is a fine surgeon and Dr Jacob Smith is a fine Anesthesiologist (I can't believe I spelled that right on the first try!). All the nurses at Surgicare were kind and cheerful.

Now I'm going to take some pills and go back to bed so I don't get into any mischief.

I am glad to hear this.

Many people were sorry you couldn't come down with me, but once I explained the situation they all agreed staying home and having surgery was best. (^_^)

Re: I am glad to hear this.

I'm glad you could go. I tried to call and will try again.
Hurrah! Sending good wishes for continued good recovery.
Thank you.

Im happy that your surgery went well. I saw Linda Partridge from High School last week and I told her about your blog. She used to live on Glenwood. She says "hello". :)
