Make Magic

Pâté , Pickled Eggs, and the Ithaca Beer Company Taproom.

Marilyn came by Thursday night as usual to watch Revolution. It was actually an interesting episode this time. I spent less of the episode rolling my eyes and complaining about people making bad decisions.

I fed her steamed Red Chard with pickled eggs and vinegar. I used up the last of my pickled eggs so I'm making more today.

I'm also making Chicken Liver Pâté today. I even bought the Wasa crispbreads to eat the Pâté with.

Friday B took me to the Ithaca Beer Company Taproom for lunch. We ordered most of the specials. We both had the Leek and Potato soup with parsley and roasted sunflower seed pesto. (I confused the waiter by calling it Vichyssoise. Vichyssoise can be served hot.) I had the Bison Burger, and B had a grilled cheese sandwich and the Barely Arancini with peas and tomato sauce. And we both had Brownie Sundaes with vanilla ice cream for desert. I also had Ithaca Beer Company Ginger Ale. They make real ginger ale with no artificial color.

They make very good food in the taproom. It is very high quality gourmet versions of pizza, burgers, and grilled cheese.

The Ithaca Beer Company has chickens in their yard that they keep for the eggs. The chickens were hanging out on the patio while we were having lunch.
