New Chair, LibraryThing, & Dinner w/ Friends

The new chair is doing what it is supposed to do. When I stand up after sitting for hours at the computer I'm no longer crippled by leg cramps. Funny the things one can get used to.

I have been spending hours at the computer updating the bookcovers on my LibraryThing database and copying the covers down into my FileMaker database.

Friday night I had dinner with my new friend Velvet and her husband Scott. He seems very nice. And very quiet. They came over to the house after dinner! I don't have guests often but it was nice, and I would like to do it more often, now that I have Spot (my roomba) to keep the place neat.

Saturday B&K came over to catch up on their TiVo watching.

Sunday Mom and Dad are supposed to come up for lunch.

I think the Byetta is working well.

New Chair Goodness

The chair I have been sitting on at the computer for the last several years causes cramps in my legs. When I was reading one of the film-making books that [info]blaisepascal got from the library it listed "a good chair" as a vital piece of equipment, since I am going to be sitting in it a long time. Now that I'm starting to get my life together.

So, I finally invested in a chair that (hopefully) will not cause me pain. It was on sale at Staples so I didn't have to spend much and so far I'm very happy with it. I spent some time sitting in chairs and rolling around the store having fun, they were very nice about it.

The downstairs neighbors carried the new chair up the stairs for me. A very athletic man and his son. They were just coming home when I was bringing the chair in. It was very kind of them to offer to help. [info]kenshardik switched my old chair out of my room for me. I think I will use the old chair for browsing the stacks now (once I fix the wheel that keeps falling off).
