Witch Trials

I had this great idea for an event "Witch Trials".

You know a week long festival with competitions in various witchcraft skills such as: potions, divination, chanting, spell casting, story telling, sewing, cooking, carving, art, etc.

We could have venders and game booths. I got the idea from a Terry Pratchett short story "The Sea and Little Fishes". Of course by trying to form a committee and organize such an event I am setting myself up as more of a Letice Earwig than a Granny Weatherwax. But luckily I don't think there is any Granny Weatherwax around here to object. (except me :-D)

I feel that anyone wishing to enter the trials should have to sign a form stating that they are indeed a Witch. They can use their own definition of Witch but they have to claim the identity to compete in the trials.

Two different people I have suggested this event to have immediately told me it would have to include a "dunking booth" (for dunking those who refuse to confess to Witchcraft).

(I think a "Lucky Dip" booth would not be out of the question.)
