Writer's Block: Most inspiring teacher
My High School art teacher Nancy Smith. I had her for art from 9th to 11th And she was my adviser for my senior independent study in art. She was a great teacher and really encouraged me. She entered my work in contests and made sure I was up for any awards being offered. I hung out in the art room whenever I could.
In my senior year I had one class with the other art teacher, who was a man. I remember that he gave me better grades on my projects but did not give me as much feedback or enter me in any contests. Mrs Smith always pushed me to do better, while acknowledging how good my work already was. I would rather have Bs and feedback than As and be ignored.
