Char Siu Bao and Nature

I made a batch of char siu bao this evening. I love these Chinese BBQ pork filled steamed buns. They are a bit of a pain to make. But delicious to eat. I don't know of any Chinese restaurants in the area that sell them.

I had my intake exam for my sleep study last Thursday. The doctor was very nice. Everyone was very supportive of my intent to have bariatric surgery. It's amazing how supportive people are when you are doing what they think you should do.

On my way out of the parking lot I saw a mouse running along the sidewalk. It looked like a leaf at first. That little tail looks just like a leaf stem. Then a hawk swooped down and ate it. I had no idea that there were hawks living at that busy intersection of S Fulton and Rt 13 right before the bridge over Six Mile Creek. Mice and rats can live wherever there are people. But hawks are a good sign. Ithaca is a real Tree City. I love seeing human cities include more biodiversity.
