Jubilee! Ama-gi!

The Boy has returned to his mother. A little bit early. But this is the longest he has stayed with me. This morning when I got up I found that he had taken the laptop into the bathroom with him so he could listen to music while he showered. Despite the fact that I had told him not to take the laptop into the bathroom. I was really furious with him about this. Not just annoyed or angry but furious. So when he said that he wanted to go home today I said "Good!" And I told him that I was really angry with him about taking the computer into the bathroom.

We were planning on going to Vestal today for his cousin's Graduation party anyway so it worked out fine. Song joked about me keeping him for another month. I offered to take The Cuteness instead. But we agreed that I really need some alone time.

It's sort of weird not having The Boy here after 25 days of having him here. We didn't finish the Yojimbo marathon. Or even start watching the Harry Potter movies.

But at least I have my computer back. And no one poking me while I'm trying to use it. Or constantly asking me "what are we going to do?" and telling me what time it is. I'm missing him already. I do need a break. But I will be happy to have him visit again in the future.

"Jubilee deals largely with land, property, and property rights. According to Leviticus, slaves and prisoners would be freed, debts would be forgiven and the mercies of God would be particularly manifest."

"Ama-gi is a Sumerian word (also ama-ar-gi) meaning, literally translated, "return to the mother," and used to refer to "The restoration of persons and property to their original status" including the remission of debts. Assyriologist Samuel Noah Kramer has identified it as the first known written reference to the concept of freedom."

I'm guessing that he's not a "sit and read" sort of kid.
He is capable of sitting and reading. Sometimes even when he has access to the computer. He read several Rick Riordan novels while he was here.

He just has a lot of energy. Which is perfectly healthy and normal for a 15 year old boy.

As a nearly 50 year old women I have a lot less energy.
I'm sorry we didn't get to get him together with mine, we've been having our own kind of chaos. Maybe next time!

It seemed so busy while he was here. But I think that was partly because of him.
